Donatella Sicomo

Donatella Sicomo is the co-founder of the International Law Firm Arnone & Sicomo. Donatella Sicomo gained her Master's Degree in Law in 2005 at the University of Palermo and in 2007 she obtained a Postgraduate Specialization Diploma for Legal Professions (Forensic Justice Area ), at the University of Palermo.

Donatella is enrolled since October 2008 with the Bar Council of Palermo.

After the successful completion of her traineeship in the field of criminal law, she began her career as an Associated Lawyer with one of biggest law firms in Italy providing legal advice on cross-border matters, where Donatella dealt with several high-profile cases related to Criminal Law, Customs Law and Maritime criminal law.

She has extensive expertise in the field of crimes against the person and family, computer crimes, property crimes and road traffic offences.

Donatella’s practice also focuses on the building and planning offences, active and passive extraditions as well as in the field of claims for damages for unlawful detention.

She also provides assistance to clients in relation to the deletion of their personal data processed in the Schengen Information System.

Donatella regularly advises several italian and multinational import-export companies on a wide variety of customs related matters in particular on those deriving from international trade such as seizures of goods or vehicles occurred in the passage from one state to another and criminal violations related to the various forms of smuggling of goods.

She has experience in handling numerous cases involving proceeding against the ship owners for offenses committed by the crew.

She is also enrolled in the lists of defenders who represent legal aid clients.

She is an Italian native speaker and speaks fluently English.
